LIGHTING

Some of the things I'm most embarrassed about in our new home are all the lighting and the ceiling fans. They're totally brand new which makes me a little sad but they desperately need to be swap out for something way sexier. I've been a little under the weather this week and I don't like to say that because I can get very proud of saying I haven't been sick in like 10 years. I'm not bedridden or anything because I would never allow that to happen. I just have a tickle in my throat and a bit of the sniffles. So with the bit of down time, I've been scouring for lighting to replace the atrociousness that's hanging above me as I type in the dining room. That's where my current desk is at. I gave my heartmate the wall desk unit so he can focus and do his principal work. I'm the best boyfriend ever.

There seems to be a style that I'm into when it comes to lighting. I like sculptural chandeliers with a simple shape to them that becomes a subtle statement piece. And a little brass doesn't hurt either. Whether you live in a small space or large space, lighting is crucial as they can make or break a room.

All these lights are gorgeous and it inspires me to wanna design some of my own. Who wants some Dab lighting?!

These Jonathan Adler lighting are hot. I could use two of the oval chandliers in our big living room and the multipoint one in the bathroom. I want to bring some bold pieces into the bathroom because they don't get enough love sometimes.

I had to throw in this floor lamp from West Elm's new collaboration with Kate Spade Saturday. I think it's beautiful. We have a pretty deep hallway with three wall sconces which I'm excited about. I love wall sconces and I'm feeling these two.

Starbursts chandeliers will never go out of style. These are from Chairish. The second one is only $200 and if you're in San Francisco, it's free local pickup!

Apparatus just kills it every time with all their lights and objects.
