I survived my first Mardi Gras! It wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be, which means, I paced myself and didn't get super drunk. But I was tipsy enough to buy my first wig! It's a peachy pink short bob and it's absolutely fabulous. There were lots of hollering for beads and bedazzled shoes. It's a very special thing. And all the marching bands were outstanding. They have so much more sass and brass here. They definitely made me miss my old marching band days. I had a blast. I wish I took more photos but I was too busy flashing my chiseled chest for beads. Ha! I actually didn't see any nudity or boobies. If you've never experienced Mardi Gras, it's definitely worth it. You'll need to take an entire week off to experience the whole thing. There are parades every day, morning and night. It's pretty awesome.
