Back to College with Swenyo

Summer's over and I'm heading back to college, you guys! Okay, I kid. But you know what? I was carded at a few bars I went to last weekend. Oh, and at Harrah's, too! It got me feeling all youthful and like a sophomore again. Such a liberating time. Well, the fun part is I get to pretend that I'm in college again. I'm collaborating with SWENYO to create this back-to-school look.

My inspiration for the room was a little bit of Scandinavian modern, a little bit folksy, and a whole lotta plants. Pick out pieces that are easy to assemble and doesn't take a lot of space. This side table was a cinch to put together. Ladders are also great for saving space. You can hang towels, clothes, magazines, and even shoes! The trick to making your room more awesome? Plants! Here are plants that are hard to kill: rubber tree plant, snake plant, ponytail palm, tillandsia, and staghorn ferns. If space is tight, you can also use your ceiling to hang plants in a Planter Mobile or hang cord lights instead of desk lamps. I wish my college room woke up like this!
