Sun at Six • Giveaway

We got an amazing giveaway today with my friends over at Sun at Six! They're a furniture design studio based out of Brooklyn. Their furniture are all hand built, piece by piece, using an ancient joinery technique from China. There are no nails and no screws! Which means they arrive to your door, completely assembled. It's the best feeling! They were kind enough to send me a few pieces for our home in LA. 

You can see the thought and craftsmanship that goes into all their designs. These are family heirloom you'll be proud to pass down. I already told my niece she can have the Plume chairs once she graduates from college. She's super excited! I love how comfortable and lounge-y they are.

Love seeing these joinery details. It's a classical Chinese joinery technique and it's fading. I love that Sun at Six is keeping this tradition alive. They say that the joinery in the furniture allows the wood to breathe and lets the furniture expand and contract to prevent cracks and warping.
