Home Tweaks with Blu Dot and $5000 Giveaway
I’m so happy about my new home additions from Blu Dot and especially excited to partner up with the company to share their major giveaway!
In honor of its 20th anniversary—as well as a means of giving back to its customers and supporters from over the years—Blu Dot is offering one lucky winner $5,000 to spend shopping their designs and two runners-up will get a credit of $500. All you’ve got to do is enter here (after reading the terms and conditions, of course). The giveaway runs through September 22nd, so you’ve still got time. Good luck!
I know some of you probably saw that post title and thought, “Another tweak? Didn’t you just makeover your mudroom?” Well, yes. Last year, I added some color, botanicals, and accessories to the space, but there were still a little tweaks I wanted to do and pieces I felt like were missing. Then again, it’s also just my nature to keep switching things up! And after you’ve lived in your place for a length of time, you really start to learn how your habits dictate different needs.
All that said, when it came time to make some additions to the mud room and living room I knew that Blu Dot was a place I could look for pieces that were modern, well made, and still within a reasonable price point. I’ve actually been a fan of the Minnesota-based design collective since I was living in Los Angeles and used to drive past their West Hollywood showroom, which always caught my attention. The furniture and accessories you find here are timeless, but with enough edge to appeal to my modern bohemian sensibility.
When I saw the Hitch Ladder Bookcase on the website, I knew it was exactly what I needed to hold my sunglasses, keys, shoes (I used the lower shelves as a shoe rack) and other essentials to grab when I’m going in and out since the mud room door is our main entryway. Also, it’s a place for me to add more plants! It's really easy to install and it also comes with a desk option so you can create your very own desk wall unit! I also picked Blu Dot’s large Flange Vessel to put a fan palm stem in. I love the terra cotta color and how it's used in such a modern way. And let’s be honest, the green Real Good Chair is so good, it just deserved a moment!
Now, onto my living room. It's super eclectic, with a nice mix of different textiles but mostly brown and tan shades. The Charlie Rug is such a great addition to that space because it breaks up some of the neutrals and ties in with the sofa and pillows.
So, question for y'all! What would you get with $5000 from Blu Dot?!
