DIY BENCH WITH THE FLOYD LEG
You know I love a good looking bench for piling books, plants, and art. I've been thinking of a DIY bench idea for our entryway and I recently discovered The Floyd Leg. They're based in Detroit where they make these simple legs for building tables. They come in several colors and they have one in a perfect shade of yellow.
If you've always wanted to add some DIY love in your home, then this is an excellent project to do because it's the easiest Dab-It-Yourself project I've ever done. You don't need a hammer. You don't need a power drill. You don't need much. It's super straight forward. My two-year old could probably build it for you. WAIT A MINUTE. I don't have a two year old. Eeek. Baby fever!!!
So all you need is a piece of wood, The Floyd Leg (16") and a little bit of hand turning action. This bench can work as a coffee table or side table, too. They also have longer legs so you can build a console or desk. It's brilliant. I bought a pre-cut piece of pine wood from Lowe's which I'll stain eventually. It seriously took me less than five minutes to put it together. Now that's my kind of DIY. What do you guys think? Pretty awesome, right?
