Celebrating Three Years in New Orleans

Sometimes the best kind of vacation is not how far you travel but actually staying put in your own city and exploring new restaurants or revisiting places you haven't been in awhile. It makes you fall in love with your city all over again. It's hard to believe that it's been exactly three years since I visited New Orleans for the first time. I remember that morning when I booked a last minute trip to see my heartmate and decided to stay for nine days. Mind you, it was only our second date. I mean, WHY NOT?!

I fell in love with the city along with my heartmate and a month later, I moved here. And the rest is history!

Recently, Hampton by Hilton invited me to stay at one of their three locations in New Orleans to celebrate my three year anniversary here. We stayed at the Central Business District location which is really central to all the exciting things happening in this colorful city. I've always wanted to live by the French Quarter and it was so convenient to walk everywhere or stumble home on a wild night out. Anywho, below are some of my favorite restaurants in the city. As usual, oysters are always on my mind ;P
